– Every project starts from collecting materials and client’s wishes. How do you negotiate with clients? What do you ask for?
I think this is standard for everyone. All I need from client is architectural project, preferred in .pdf, because I do not use AutoCAD or any other software that can open .dwg files, several reference pictures and 3 days.

– How do you work: in your own style or under clients guidance?
That depends on whom I work with. I am an interior visualizer, not an interior designer. I cannot charge for something I’m not doing. I have a friend, she’s interior designer and if there is a need, I work with her on interior design. She get paid for design, I get paid for visualizations. So as you can see I have no other choice than work under guidance. But if I work with client directly and they gave me a free hand, of course client gets the final word.
– How is you working process look like? How many revisions allowed to make?
My working process is very easy, after all modeling, shading and lightning I send preview renderings in low resolution and settings and after a few corrections (I allow up to 4 revisions) it’s time for final render plus post production.
– Have you refused to do the project and if yes why?
I love what I do, I work from Monday till Sunday, from dawn till dusk, but unfortunately I’m not a robot. From time to time I need a day off and if I have too much on my plate, that’s the reason why I have to refuse to do some projects.
– With what kind of client you will never do business again?
In my humble opinion it’s very important to fulfill any commitments between me and my client. So if my work is done on time I expect client to do his (which is payment). I have to pay my bills, I can’t wait months for my reward.
– General project time?
I need up to 3 days to finish the project (one room).
– How do you calculate/estimate project price?
I do not charge for square meter or time I spend on project. I need to know how much time do I have, how complicated the project is and what resolution client need.
– Do you charge for rendering?
Do I charge for rendering? That depends on final resolution client need. I can render up to FullHD, everything above require render farm. It is individual matter how much will it cost.
– Do you have technical education? Does it helps in 3D?
I’m pure self-taught. I tried to study on Computer Graphics And New Media at the University of IT and Management in Rzeszów, but I decided to leave that place after first semester because of what they tried to teach me, I’ve already knew.

– Client is nice, project agenda is clear, now you need inspiration to get started. What are your sources of inspiration?
I ask client to send ref. pictures, this is very helpful, but I always like to go through sites like, Behance, Linxspiration and other, there is a lot of inspiration out there.
– Who is your favorite 3D artist or company?
I do not have favorite company or 3D artist. There are a lot of great, great artist all over the world, they all are a huge inspiration to me.

– There are 2 types of visualizers: one who heavily rely on post-work (they do not render scene completely, but only parts of it, and one who try to get complete scene after render process and apply basic post-work) From which side you are and why?
I’m fully 3D. I know it’s time consuming and it’s not easy to prepare 3D scene with only 3D elements, but this is what it is all about. I use post-work only for color and light corrections.
– How would you rate your level of expertise in 3D graphics on a scale 0 till 10. In what areas you would like to get more knowledge?
From 0-10, I think I may be in the middle. I would rate myself on 4 maybe 5. I learn something new with every project I made. I would love to get better in modeling.
– What software do you use/like the most? Why?
I use Cinema 4D and V-ray, because there is no better software.
– What were the main sources of training that you used if any? Which one you can recommend?
Trials and errors method that’s the way I learned everything. I’m not a tutorial guy.
– What is your greatest work that you have done? The most challenging project you have worked on?
My most challenging project is this one. This is the project which gave me great satisfaction…for sure it was my first serious job. I was obliged to prepare several visualizations regarding diploma project for one girl. I’ve been total newbie this time for such a project. Of course, I couldn’t avoid mistakes, problems and lots of sleepless nights – because of the deadline. After this project I got to know, that 3D is a thing what makes my life fulfilled. Now, this girl is a professional architect.
– What do you think about general 3D visualization level in your country
From 0-10 it’s 11. Just for example platige

– Market is overwhelmed with the low quality/price offers. There are many programs which allow creating simple 3D without any knowledge. Don’t you see a threat for your profession in near future?
I think not, but the future is far away from now in my country. There are a lot of guys calling themselves photorealistic 3D artists, which they are not. They charge less than I do and offer lower quality, but still they are chosen over me because of the prices.
– What are your long-term goals or career plans?
I’m thinking about starting a company with my friend, she is an architect, I really like working with her. We like to call ourselves a ‘dream team’.
